Oct 09, 2007 Due to technical issues with grants.gov submissions, PRM is extending the deadline to 6pm EST on Oct 9, 2007. By this deadline, PRM MUST RECEIVE either (1) the completed submission through grants.gov or (2) a hardcopy submission with an original SF424 Form (version 2) signed by the Authorized Organization Representative, the proposal, budget, budget narrative and other associated documents (NICRA, Code of conduct). Late submissions will not be accepted. Please note that PRM offices will be closed on Monday, October 8th (Columbus Day celebrated).

Refugee assistance. Responses from International Organizations to this announcement will be subject to established PRM authorities and procedures for voluntary contributions to International Organizations.
Limited funding available to support the repatriation and reintegration of Burundi and Congolese (Democratic Republic of the Congo) refugees and/or necessary care and maintenance for refugees in camps/settlements in the region. Priority sectors include: protection, health, water/sanitation, livelihood promotion/ micro-enterprise, primary education, gender-based violence prevention and response, and psycho-social support for victims of conflict.Priority will be given to proposals from organizations that can demonstrate:- a working relationship with UNHCR and 2007/2008 UNHCR funding and/or support for the proposed activities and/or overall country program;- a proven track record in providing proposed assistance (both in the sector and specified region) to Burundi and DRC refugees and/or returnees;- evidence of coordination with development organizations and a well-developed transition strategy, and - appropriate targeting of beneficiaries in coordination with UNHCR and other relevant organizations.
