Oregon Zoo Condor Propagation Expansion Project: The production and release of captive-bred condors into the wild has resulted in the successful establishment of a wild breeding population in California, Arizona, Utah, and Baja California. This highly effective captive breeding program continues to be necessary to supplement natural condor reproduction in the wild. This funding is to offset this long-term partner¿s funding and to fund additional propagation staff, necessary improvements to infrastructure (i.e. electrical upgrades, water delivery system, office space), and condor breeding pens that are critical to the continued and increasing production of condors for release into the wild.
