This grant opportunity is only open for state agencies that have a certification or agreement with the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) to do pipeline safety inspections.
Grant Description
This grant opportunity is only open for only for states that have a certification or agreement with PHMSA to do pipeline safety inspections. One-Call grant funding is available to state agencies participating in the pipeline safety program are eligible to apply for one-call grant funding on an annual basis. This separate grant program is not restricted to the 50% funding statute, and supports initiatives by each State agency to further promote efforts specifically for damage prevention, including one-call legislation, related compliance activities, training and public education. The One-Call grant is based on activities in three priorities - Priority Three activities are listed below: 1. Development and/or conduct of state-provided training programs for excavators2. Development and/or conduct of state-provided training programs for locators3. Development and/or distribution of promotional items or materials4. Development and/or conduct of damage prevention awareness campaigns. Public service announcements. Informational mailings. Advertisements. One call center promotions. Booths/exhibitsFurther instructions and guidelines for applying to this opportunity will be given to the ear-marked applicant group when the opportunity approaches its availability. The estimated total program funding is $1,010,000 for all three priorities and will be distributed based on the different project applications received.
