Grant Description
Limited funding is available to NGOs assisting vulnerable Iraqis in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. Proposals should focus on areas where vulnerable Iraqis constitute at least 50% of the beneficiary population. Given current funding constraints and priorities, proposed activities should focus on: assistance to extremely vulnerable individuals, non-food and other emergency assistance, programs to combat gender-based violence and exploitation, out-of-school youth programs, primary health care and primary education. PRM will accept proposals from any NGO that is able to satisfy these guidelines although given our budgetary constraints, priority will be given to proposals from organizations that can demonstrate: 1) responsiveness to assistance and protection priorities listed above; 2) appropriate targeting of beneficiaries in coordination with UNHCR and other relevant organizations; 3) a working relationship with UNHCR and civil society organizations in host countries; 4) a proven track record providing proposed assistance (both in the sector and specified location) to asylum seekers and refugees in asylum countries; and, 5) evidence of coordination with development organizations and a well-developed transition strategy.
