Painted Woods Project: The American Foundation for Wildlife approached the ND PFW program with a proposal to include the purchase of a tract of land in a larger grant proposal to the North American Wetlands Conservation Council. This NAWCA proposal was successful in receiving funding and these funds will be used in conjunction with funds from AFW and the North Dakota Naural Resources Trust to purchase this piece of land that will be transferred to the North Dakota Game and Fish Department (NDGF) to be perpetually managed as a wildlife management area for migratory bird habitat.
