Partnerships for Food Industry Development (PFID): This Request for Applications (RFA) is to award two separate but related Leader with Associates (LWA) cooperative agreements under the umbrella heading Partnership for Food Industry Development (PFID) for worldwide food industry development activities. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/ Bureau of Economic Growth, Agriculture and Trade (EGAT) is seeking applications from a university led - qualified U.S. partnerships for these awards. Subject to the availability of funds, USAID intends to provide approximately a sum of $500,000 per year for four years for two Leader awards for a total of $ 2,000,000 each. USAID anticipates that through Associate Awards from other Missions and Bureau offices, approximately $1 million per year may be available to each PFID partnership. USAID reserves the right to fund any or none of the applications submitted.
