Performance and Effectiveness of Green Infrastructure Stormwater Management Approaches in the Urban Context: A Philadelphia Case Study: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as part of its Science to Achieve Results (STAR) program, is seeking applications proposing to conduct research on and demonstration of the performance and effectiveness of green infrastructure (GI) practices at the urban watershed-level. For this Request for Applications (RFA), the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, specifically the 40,500 acre Philadelphia Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) area, will serve as the geographic study area. Successful projects should leverage resources and utilize strategic partnerships to address the complexities of urban communities and contribute to a more holistic understanding of the potential of green infrastructure in the urban water cycle.
