ABSTRACT Funding Announcement: P11AT32054-R9840110107 Project Title: Permafrost Modeling in Alaska National Parklands Recipient: University of Alaska Fairbanks Principle Investigator: Dr. Vladimir Romanovsky Total Anticipated Award Amount: $371,097.00 Cost Share: N/A New Award Or Continuation: New Anticipated Length of Agreement: 5 Years Anticipated Period of Performance: September 30,2011 September 30, 2015 Award Instrument: Cooperative Agreement Statutory Authority: 16 U.S.C. 1(g): The National Park Service may in fiscal year 1997 and thereafter enter into cooperative agreements that involve the transfer of National Park Service appropriated funds to State, local and tribal governments, other public entities, educational institutions, and private nonprofit organizations for the public purpose of carrying out National Park Service programs pursuant to section 6305 of title 31 to carry out public purposes of National Park Service programs.
