Pilot-Scale Libraries (PSL) for High-Throughput Screening (P41): Purpose. This initiative, a component of the NIH Roadmap Molecular Libraries Program (MLP), will support the generation of chemical libraries for high-throughput biological screening by the Molecular Libraries Probe Production Centers Network (MLPCN). Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the P41 (Biomedical Research Resource) grant mechanism. Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. The NIH intends to commit up to $2.5 million in FY2010 and expects to make approximately 6-8 awards. Awards issued under this FOA are contingent upon the availability of funds and the submission of a sufficient number of meritorious applications. Because the nature and scope of the proposed research will vary from application to application, it is anticipated that the size and duration of each award will also vary. The total amount awarded and the number of awards will depend upon the quality, duration, and costs of the applications received.
