Pilot and Feasibility Clinical Research Studies in Digestive Diseases and Nutrition (R21): Purpose. This FOA issued by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK); the National Cancer Institute (NCI); the National Institute for Nursing Research (NINR), and Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS) of the National Institutes of Health, encourages pilot and feasibility clinical and epidemiological research studies of new therapies or means of health promotion and prevention of digestive and liver diseases and nutritional disorders associated with digestive and liver diseases, including cancer.
