Planning Grant for Integrated Advanced Information Management Systems (IAIMS)(G08): -Purpose. Integrated advanced information systems (IAIMS) are comprehensive trans-organizational information management structures. The fundamental area of interest is context-appropriate information. This announcement is for IAIMS Planning grants, to support the development of a written plan for implementing an IAIMS information environment. -Mechanism of Support. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) will utilize the G08 grant mechanism. -Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. NLM anticipates making 2 4 new awards each year, spending approximately $750,000 per year to support new awards in this program. The total amount awarded and the number of awards will depend upon the numbers, quality, duration, and costs of the applications received.
