Additional Information on Eligibility
1. Eligible Applicants Awards under this grant program are limited to U.S. poison control centers (PCCs) including those serving the U.S. territories. Financial Stabilization Grants - PCCs must be certified by a professional organization or a State government with, at a minimum, equivalent standards as the American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC). Certification Grants-Non-certified PCCs, designated by the State, or newly-established PCCs applying for the purpose of becoming certified must demonstrate an ability to become certified within a reasonable time frame (before the expiration of the grant application or the five-year period). To be eligible for a certification grant, a non-certified PCC must receive a waiver of certification. A non-certified PCC shall receive no more than five waivers of certification resulting in no more than five years of certification grant funding. A third year of funding will be available to certification grantees which complete the certification process within the first two years of the project period.
