Population-based Diabetes in Youth Registry: This FOA has two components, A and B. Component A solicits applications for a 5-year
surveillance network of diabetes registries in racial/ethnic, socio-economic, and geographically
diverse populations. Applicants are expected to provide population-based data on the incidence,
prevalence, and temporal trends of diabetes among U.S. youth aged < 20 years by age, sex,
race/ethnicity and diabetes type. Component B of this FOA solicits applications for a Coordinating
Center (CC) to provide expertise in population-based surveillance, training, data management,
quality control and analysis to the registry network.

Eligibility is limited to these applicants who have developed and maintained the SEARCH Registry
for approximately 15 years and have institutional knowledge of the decisions that have been made
by the study steering committee regarding the measurement and analytic methodology essential to
the functioning and reporting of the registry data and trends.

this section, it will not enter into the review process. Only eligible applicants listed in Section III, 1
are eligible to apply.
