Pre-solicitation notice US-China Global Climate Change Partnership Program: Pre-Solicitation Notice - RFA 486-08-008 February 1, 2008 Title: U.S.-China Global Climate Change Partnership Program This is a pre-solicitation notice only. No applications are requested at this time. USAID Regional Development Mission for Asia (RDMA) plans to issue a Request for Applications (RFA) on technical assistance activities to be implemented in China relating to global climate change. At this time, USAID/RDMA intends to issue one cooperative agreement to a U.S. university or non-governmental organization (NGO) in partnership with a Chinese university and/or NGO. For the purposes of this RFA, NGOs include any organization other than government. The inclusion of public private partnerships (i.e., Global Development Alliances, or GDAs) will be a significant factor for consideration in the RFA. Except for the above information, no additional information regarding this planned RFA is available at this time. All necessary information will be supplied at the time the RFA is issued, which is currently expected on or about April 1, 2008. Issuance of an RFA will be subject to internal USAID approvals and the availability of funds. NO applications for funding should be submitted until after the RFA is issued.
