Preserve, Maintain & Interpret the Tenement Museum: This is NOT a request for applications. This is just public notice that the NPS and the Lower East Side Tenement Museum have entered into a cooperative agreement to Preserve, Maintain & Interpret the Tenement Museum. Specifically, the Tenement Museum will: A. The Museum agrees to:1. Preserve and maintain 97 and 103 Orchard Street, a National Historic Landmark and an NPS-affiliated site2. Conduct educational programs in its National Landmark building for upwards of 30,000 school children annually, in grades K through 12, representing itself as an NPS-affiliated site conducting an NPS-supported program3. Conduct public tours in its National Landmark building for upwards of 100,000 visitors annually, representing itself as an NPS-affiliated site conducting an NPS-supported program4. Build new and more diverse audiences for its NPS-affiliated site through interpretive and educational programs5. Introduce NPNH staff to Museum programs through collaborative workshops with NPS staff from other NPNH sites in planning teacher professional development programs6. Assign appropriate staff, including Museum project manager(s), to work with the NPS for projects undertaken under this Agreement7. Provide the reporting identified in and required by this Agreement under Article IX – Reports and Deliverables8. Assign an overall liaison between the Museum and NPS, whose responsibility it shall be to coordinate on behalf of the Museum the activities carried out under this Agreement
