Eligible applicants that can apply for this funding opportunity are listed below: . Public, non-profit organizations; . Private, non-profit organizations; . For-profit organizations; . Small, minority, and women-owned businesses; . Universities; . Colleges; . Hospitals; . Community-based organizations; and . Faith-based organizations. In addition, the awardee is required to meet the following requirements: . The applicant should be a Nigerian indigenous organization with a good track record of working with most at-risk populations in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. An "indigenous organization" is any entity whose headquarters is in Nigeria, the majority of the entitys staff (senior, mid-level, support) must be comprised of host country and/or regional nationals. "Indigenous organizations" refers to both governmental and non-governmental (non-government, faith-based, and community-based) organizations. . The applicant must have history of providing HIV or TB-related care in the focus area Federal Capital Territory and/or Lagos; organizations brought into existence in response to this announcement are not eligible. . The applicant must document it has provided the following HIV-related interventions: prevention activities, care and support, and confidential counseling and testing. . The applicant must submit documentation with its application that it has been providing HIV care in Nigeria (e.g., progress reports for each of the past three years). HHS/CDC is looking for applicants that will only have to spend a minimal amount of time on the project start-up activity phase without compromising quality, and applicants should already be familiar with the target populations and the factors and structures that could influence the progress and achievements of the project, and should be able to latch on previous experience in working with such communities to ensure rapid engagement and uninterrupted progress.
