Grant Description
USAID/Zambia plans to award a Cooperative Agreement for a program that will support achievement of the goals and objectives of its Economic Growth Strategy. The Cooperative Agreement awarded through this Request for Assistance shall be one of two main vehicles for accomplishing key elements of Strategic Objective 5, ?Increased Private Sector Competitiveness in Agriculture and Natural Resources? under the new Country Strategic Plan (CSP) 2004 - 2010. Overall, the SO5 strategy aims to enhance competitiveness of small and medium scale agriculture and natural products producers and processors by providing better access to markets, improved production technologies, broader finance and business development services (BDS), implementing initiatives to improve the enabling environment and working to reduce barriers to trade and investment.
