- Grant Description
- The Bureau of Land Management will cooperate in modeling efforts by CESU University research consortiums to utilize downscaled climate scenarios to simulate future (through this century) changes in wildfire regimes and associated changes in vegetation composition and distribution. The proposed study will provide future projections for the east-central region of Interior Alaska where current projections do not exist. The simulation results will further our understanding of climate change impacts across Interior Alaska and provide valuable information to multiple state and federal land management agencies.
