- Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument (hereinafter known as HAFO), was established by Congress to preserve for the benefit and enjoyment of present and future generations the outstanding paleontological sites known as the Hagerman Valley fossil sites; provide a center for continuing paleontological research; provide for the display and interpretation of the scientific specimens uncovered at such sites; and provide for the orderly and regulated use of and research in the monument by qualified scientists, scientific groups, and students under the jurisdiction of such qualified individuals and groups. This cooperative agreement will establish a working partnership between the Monument and a local non-profit to further the Monument's educational and outreach goals. This is a notice of intent and will result in a noncompetitive award in accordance with Department of the Interior Policy, Departmental Manual 505DM2.
