Provide Youth Internship in Interpretation - THRO: Cooperative Agreement P15AC00031 was entered into by and between the Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS), and the Student Conservation Association (SCA) for the purpose of supporting the Government's objective to provide opportunities for youth to learn about the environment by spending time working in National Parks. The project assists in the creation, promotion, facilitation, and improvement of the public's understanding of natural, cultural, historic, recreational, and other aspects of areas such as ecological conservation areas and state and local parks. The project will provide three (3) youth internships in interpretation in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The NPS will provide specific training in interpretative skills, orientation to the park and the surrounding area, mentoring, opportunities to learn about other aspects of park management, and opportunities to work on and complete projects in a team atmosphere. The interns will provide personal services interpretation, staffing visitor center information desks, delivering a variety of interpretative programs, informal and formal interpretation. This is a modification to an existing Task Agreement P16AC00465 to add additional funding.
