RECOVERY ACT-DOI-NATIONAL PARK SERVICE, Rehabilitate Hazardous Historic Bridle Trails, Rock Creek Park: National Park Service Recovery Act Project - Rock Creek Park, Washington, DC -- Youth corps personnel will work together with Park maintenance staff to restore 13 miles of historic bridle trails and 23 miles of foot trails throughout Rock Creek Park. NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD: This award is being made in accordance with the approved streamlined competition procedures for youth projects under ARRA. The Student Conservation Association provides interns the opportunity to learn from resource management professionals and gain tangible skills and experience. Their technical capabilities and capacity to provide interns are ideally suited for the nature of this project.
