Recovery Act - National Park Service, Remove and Construct Trail Bridges at Cowpens National Battlefield: National Park Service Recovery Act Project - At Cowpens National Battlefield youth corps personnel will work with park personnel to remove and construct six (6) trail bridges along a two mile nature trail in order to accommodate foot and equestrian use at Cowpens National Battlefield. In addition, youth corps personnel will repair tread trail and remove hazardous tress along the trail. NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD: This award is being made in accordance with the approved streamlined competition procedures for youth projects under ARRA. The Student Conservation Association technical capabilities are ideally suited for this project. They have had a long history of working on trails and other conservation projects in the National Park and other protected areas. This history has given the organization a corporate knowledge and a cadre of experienced leaders and work applicants to put together an experienced trail crew for this project.
