Reducing the Environmental and Health Impacts of School Siting, Request for Proposals (RFP): The focus of this RFP is state-level decision-making regarding capital investments in the renovation or expansion of existing schools and the siting and construction of new schools. In 2003, the EPA conducted a study which demonstrated a connection between school siting, student travel behavior, transportation-related air emissions, human health, and the environment.
