Region 2 Wetland Program Development Grants: Wetland Program Development Grants (WPDGs) provide eligible applicants an opportunity toconduct projects that promote the coordination and acceleration of research, investigations,experiments, training, demonstrations, surveys, and studies relating to the causes, effects, extent,prevention, reduction, and elimination of water pollution. While WPDGs can continue to be usedby recipients to build and refine any element of a comprehensive wetland program, proposals thataddress one or more of the three national priorities (Wetland Program Planning Based on the FourCore Elements, Regulation-Enhancing Wetland Protection and/or Monitoring and Assessment)identified in Section I FUNDING OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION may increase their chancesof being selected for award (see Section V APPLICATION REVIEW INFORMATION). States,tribes, local government agencies, interstate agencies, and intertribal consortia are eligible to apply under this announcement. Universities that are agencies of state government are eligible. Non-profit organizations are not eligible to compete under this RFP.
