Regional Alumni Conference: Promoting an Open, Stable, and Prosperous Indo-Pacific: The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate General in Kolkata (PAS Kolkata) seeks proposals for a regional alumni conference in Kolkata. Based on funding availability, the Recipient organization will partner with PAS Kolkata to implement a one-and-half day conference for approximately 100 State Department exchange alumni. The focus of the conference is to strengthen the existing alumni network in East India and neighboring countries, promote regional collaboration among alumni, and contribute to the professional and personal development of the participants. The conference will include a follow-on component where alumni will team up together to develop projects that promote a secure, stable, and prosperous region. Goals of the conference are to: ● Provide alumni with tools to continue to engage with their communities in support of mutual goals; ● Foster a sense of shared identity and dialogue among alumni, and; ● Increase alumni knowledge about U.S. policies and priorities. Project objectives include: ● Promotion of regional connectivity and collaboration between alumni; ● Leveraging the knowledge, skills, and expertise of alumni to promote a secure, stable and prosperous region, and; Creation of an active network of State Department exchange alumni in the Indo-Pacific.
