Request for Information - Critical Parameters for Characterization of Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS): This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. DOE will not pay for information provided under this RFI and no project will be supported as a result of this RFI. This RFI is not accepting applications for financial assistance or financial incentives. DOE may or may not issue a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) based on consideration of the input received from this RFI. With Request for Information (RFI) DE-FOA-0001074, titled ?Critical Parameters for Characterization of Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS)?, DOE is requesting input on key governing technical parameters for EGS. For EGS to achieve technical and commercial viability, advancing state-of-the-art means for measurement and quantification of these governing parameters to acceptable level of precision and accuracy is critical. DOE will consider input from this RFI while prioritizing its limited funding on characterization activities that are most impactful to EGS development. All responses to this RFI must be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word or PDF format as an attachment in an email sent to: [email protected] by 5:00 PM ET on February 11, 2014.
