Restoration Projects for Webb City Lands: This is a notice of intent to award a single source cooperative agreement to the City of Webb without competition under justification 505DM 2.14 B (2) and (4). Estimated Total Program Funding is $800,000.00. Competition for the award is not practical as the Missouri NRDA trustees has previously awarded funds to Webb City to acquire mined lands for restoration. This award is for the restoration of these acquired lands, and is a continuation of the ongoing restoration within the Tri-State Mining District. Webb City has contributed significant in-kind services in the past, and, due to facilities being uniquely situated on former mined lands, will continue to contribute in-kind services through staff time, equipment, and supplies.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) will be substantially involved in projects under this funding opportunity. In particular, the Service will be responsible for the following:
-Planting vegetation along riparian corridors on restoration sites.
-Spot spraying invasive weeds on restoration sites.
-Vegetation monitoring on restoration sites.
-Selecting any subcontractors carrying out restoration activities.
