NOTE: Please scroll to the bottom of this page under the section entitled Full Announcement and Other Files , and click on the attachment to access and read the full solicitation and amendment. This announcement information provides an overview only. YOU MUST READ THE FUNDING OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT AND AMENDMENT (BELOW) FOR DETAILS ON ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, EVALUATION CRITERIA, AND HOW TO PREPARE YOUR APPLICATION. Please note that the objectives and evaluation criteria have changed as detailed in the amendment. The objective of this funding opportunity is to receive applications for cost-shared research projects that will contribute to expanding the recoverability of natural gas from low-permeability formations. This solicitation addresses two specific areas. The first includes studies that will advance the understanding of the nature of regional tight gas accumulations. Second are the development of new diagnostic tools and technologies to provide better spatial data for improved detection and characterization of regional gas accumulations. These advances are required to enable expanded resource recoverability in tight gas plays, both through new field discoveries and through improved development strategies to optimize production in existing fields.
