Grant Description
-This Program Announcement (PA) encourages applications for predoctoral NRSA T32s to provide research training in systems biology of developmental biology and/or structural birth defects research. -Because the nature and scope of the training proposed in each application may vary, it is anticipated that the size of each award will also vary. The total amount awarded and the number of awards will depend upon the number, quality, and costs of the applications received. -Applications will only be accepted from Public/State Controlled Institution of Higher Education, Private Institution of Higher Education, Nonprofit with 501(c)(3) IRS Status (Other than Institution of Higher Education), Nonprofit without 501(c)(3) IRS Status (Other than Institution of Higher Education), For-Profit Organization (Other than Small Business), State Government, U.S. Territory or Possession, Indian/Native American Tribal Government (Federally Recognized), Hispanic-serving Institution, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCUs), Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions, Regional Organization, Eligible agencies of the Federal government, and Faith-based or community based organizations that have strong research programs in the areas of systems biology and in developmental biology and/or structural birth defects research. Applicant organizations must have the requisite staff and facilities to provide research training in those areas.
