Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) for Individual Predoctoral Fellows in Nursing Research (F31): Purpose. This FOA issued by the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR/NIH), National Institutes of Health, encourages Individual Predoctoral Fellowship (F31) applications from institutions/organizations that propose to increase the number of nurses prepared with a doctoral degree in order to meet the demands for adequately trained behavioral, biological, and biobehavioral scientists.
