Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards (NRSA) for Individual Predoctoral Fellows in PharmD/PhD Programs (F31): Purpose. The purpose of this individual predoctoral research training fellowship is to provide support for promising students enrolled in a PharmD/PhD degree program who will be performing dissertation research and training in areas relevant to the missions of NIGMS, NICHD, and the Office of Dietary Supplements. Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein Individual Predoctoral National Research Service Award (NRSA) award mechanism (F31). Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. The number of F31 awards that NIGMS and NICHD expect to provide through this announcement will depend on the scientific merit of the applications received and the availability of funds. It is anticipated that 4 to 6 awards will be made a year.
