Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards for Individual Predoctoral Fellowship Training in Complementary and Alternative Medicine (F31): -The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) awards individual predoctoral research training fellowships to promising applicants with the desire and potential to become productive, independent investigators in the field of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) research. -The primary objective of this funding opportunity is to help ensure that diverse pools of highly trained scientists will be available in adequate numbers and in appropriate research areas to carry out the Nation s biomedical, behavioral, and clinical CAM research agendas. -Applicants must have earned a bachelor s degree (i.e. B.A. or B.S.) and be enrolled in a doctoral research program, or a formally combined and accredited professional doctoral/research doctoral program (e.g. M.D./Ph.D. program), in the biomedical, behavioral, or clinical sciences at time of application.
