- Grant Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a cooperative agreement (CESU # 3FC810873) to University of California, Davis, under the authority of catalog for domestic assistance (CFDA) 15.512, Central Valley Project Improvement Act, Public Law 102-575, Section 3406(b)(10). Estimated award date: March 30, 2010. Estimated amount: $1,930,480.00. Reclamation proposes to provide financial assistance for the Sacramento River Green Sturgeon Migration and Population Assessment. Recent concern about a decline in the abundance of green sturgeon has mandated multiple evaluations under the federal Endangered Species Act (16 U.S.C. 35 §1531 et seq.). These assessments culminated in the listing of the Southern green sturgeon Distinct Population Segment as a threatened species on June 6, 2006. (Refer to Notice of Intent to Award announcement no. R10AS20007 for additional information.) A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14(B)(2) & (4) is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Questions concerning this announcement should be directed to Mary Sims/Grants Officer, by email at msims@usbr.gov.
