Salt Basin to Pecos Basin Pipeline Alignment: The primary objective of this study is to develop a feasibility-level planning study on infrastructure and alignment to transfer water from the Salt Basin for use in the Pecos River Basin. The approach includes the following: • establish technical feasibility and constraints on the system design and construction • identify the required information for the forthcoming design and construction • identify the project configuration that serves as the basis for project design and regulatory review • define design approaches and concepts • provide a vehicle to communicate the pipeline design basis to stakeholders.
