Shoe Scanner Detection Technology (SSD): This BAA solicits proposals that focus upon developing an advanced capability that detect the following: military explosives, commercial explosives, homemade explosives and explosive precursors. In addition, the capability should detect metallic weapons or parts of metallic weapons on personnel passing through a checkpoint all without requiring the passenger personnel to remove their footwear. The effort for the BAA is divided into two principal areas: a.) Tasks (Programmatic Events/Activities/Achievements) and b.) Deliverables (Products).
