South Fork Cottonwood Ck Fish Passage Improvement, Phase One: South Fork Cottonwood Fish Passage Improvement Project : Phase 1Funding may be available through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Anadromous Fish Restoration Program to perform an alternatives analyses and engineering design on fish passage improvement options at the Hammer Camp Diversion Dam on South Fork Cottonwood Creek. This is the first phase of a project to restore fish habitat to benefit Chinook salmon and steelhead populations. The Red Bluff Fish and Wildlife Office (RBFWO), anticipates up to 80,000 may be available for the initial Phase 1 funding. Additional funds for Phases 2, 3, and 4 may be added if and when they become available. (i.e. Phase 2: final design and environmental compliance documents/permits, Phase 3: implementation, and Phase 4: monitoring). The successful applicant will receive a financial assistance award in the form of a grant agreement. Proposals received under this request will be valid through September 30, 2013. Anticipated project start date would be FY 2012 and work may commence as early as August 2012. The expected completion date for all three phases is August 31, 2017.
