Spatial and Movement Dynamics of Elk Using the National Elk Refuge, Wyoming: The tasks to be performed under this agreement are as follows: 1) Processing the existing elk GPS collar data set to exclude pre-deployment fixes, erroneous fixes, and post mortality or post collar drop fixes. NER will provide metadata that includes deployment and offair dates that should facilitate this process.
2) Creating a merged geodatabase or shapfile that includes elk ID as a field
3) Descriptive summaries for each elk documenting summer range, NER arrival and departure times etc. This information is useful for planning hunt seasons and assessing the timing of seasonal closures on the bike path that is adjacent to the refuge.
