Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services Overview Information; National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR)--Spinal Cord Injury Model Systems Centers (SCIMS Centers); Notice Inviting Applications for New Awards for Fiscal Year (FY) 2006. Purpose of Program: The purpose of this program is to provide assistance for demonstration projects that (a) provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to individuals with spinal cord injuries and (b) conduct spinal cord research, including clinical research and analysis of standardized data in collection with other related projects.
