Only State Governments that already applied by April 15, 2006 (Phase 1) may apply. The program is authorized by 38 US Code 8131-8137 and only state governments are authorized to participate. The program is implemented in 38 Code of Federal Regulations Part 59.

Grant Description

Grants are available to assist state governments for construction or renovation of state veteran homes. VA participation may not exceed 65% of the total project costs. An annual priority list is developed as of April 15th and approved by VA's Secretary for funding opportunities during the next fiscal year.
