Additional Information on Eligibility
An application may be submitted by the National Association of Public Health Statistics and Information Systems (NAPHSIS) Foundation. No other applications will be accepted. The eligible applicant is limited to NAPHSIS Foundation because its primary mission is the support of the state vital statistics and vital records programs.
Grant Description
The purpose of this 5-year Program is to improve the ability of State vital statistics agencies to operate cost efficiently and to provide timely and high quality data to the National Vital Statistics System (NVSS) based on the 2003 U.S. Standard Certificates of Birth and Death and the Report of Fetal Death. This Program addresses the "Healthy People 2010" focus area(s) of Public Health Infrastructure.
