Stream Restoration Project: THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A SINGLE SOURCE, AND THERE IS NO FULL ANNOUNCEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. This Notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to award a grant to Northern Virginia Chapter of Trout Unlimited (TU) under the authority CFDA 15.658 Natural Resource Damage Assessment, Restoration and Implementation. The Service proposes to provide financial assistance to the recipient to utilize natural channel design restoration principles to improve the streams dimension, pattern, and profile that will increase stream bank stability, reduce erosion, improve floodplain connectivity, and increase the available in-stream habitat. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505DM2, paragraph 2.14 (B) (2) is solely within the discretion of the Government.
