Strengthen the Capacity of Republican Narcology Centers on Practical Applications of Medication-Assisted Treatment Programs in the Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS: This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) will provide funding for Targeted Technical Assistance (TTA) to the Republican Narcology Centers (RNCs) in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, with an overarching goal to increase their capacity of practical applications for high quality Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and other HIV services for People Who Inject Drugs (PWID). This FOA will support competency building and professional development for RNCs staff; policy modification on the development of guidelines (Prikazi) according to international standards of best practices on integrated HIV services; implementation of MAT and point of care HIV testing programs that will allow for high quality of integrated service provision of MAT, HIV testing and counseling (HTC), anti-retroviral therapy (ART), TB and STIs to PWID, including female PWID. This FOA will also support the improvement of quality and coverage of MAT to PWID. The activities outlined above will result in improved quality and increased coverage of PWID with MAT in community and prison settings; increased access to integrated MAT, ART, HTC and TB services for PWID, including female PWID; increased adherence to MAT, ART and TB; and increased capacity of the staff of RNCs in three countries to provide high quality of HIV services to PWID.
