Strengthening Partnerships, Results, and Innovations in Nutrition Globally (SPRING): In support of the USGs increased commitment to nutrition and food security, as demonstrated by the Global Health Initiative and Feed the Future ,the United States Agency for International Development seeks to award a five year, $200 million Cooperative Agreement named Strengthening Partnerships, Results and Innovation in Nutrition Globally. This activity will support USAID in promoting appropriate policies and programs that enhance country nutrition programs to reach vulnerable populations, especially women, infants, and young children. The award is expected to: provide technical assistance to accelerate action on nutrition policies, build the capacity of countries to design, implement and evaluate nutrition programs, build the evidence-base for nutrition, promote effective delivery of a core package of nutrition interventions, and emphasize country-specific approaches to scale up nutrition programs. It is also anticipated that SPRING will facilitate partner coordination and collaboration in countries with other USG activities and with national stakeholders. The authorizing legislation for this Cooperative Agreement is the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as Amended, and the award is subject to 22 CFR 226 Administration of Assistance Awards to U.S. Non-Governmental Organizations.
