Strengthening Tuberculosis Control in Moldova: Subject to the availability of funds, USAID intends to award a single cooperative agreement and to provide approximately $4,000,000 in total USAID funding to be allocated over a four?year period. Cost share has been recommended at 10% of the total estimated amount. The purpose of the Strengthening Tuberculosis (TB) Control project is to assist the Government of Moldova (GOM) in combating the tuberculosis epidemic in Moldova by enhancing the nationwide implementation of the cost-effective Directly Observed Treatment, Short Course strategy (DOTS) approaches for tuberculosis diagnosis, treatment and surveillance procedures.
