- This is NOT a requent for applications. This is just an announcement that an award has been given to The American Civil War Museum for their work in providing support assistance for education programming. Specifically, they will:
a. Comply with the terms and conditions of the general provisions outlined in the Cooperative Agreement.
b. Assist NPS in developing the position description, hiring the new staff and provide payment for services to this individual in two-week increments as long as the need for the position exists
c. Assist NPS staff with developing, updating, and delivering education programs – in the NPS Visitor Center or on the Battlefields.
d. Provide adequate “safe space” for education programming during the closure period.
e. Work with NPS staff to jointly market and promote education opportunities on the battlefields as a way to experience the civil war.
f. Ensure the NPS is aware of changes to building closures and the work schedule with sufficient time to adjust education programming and make changes to both materials and location of the scheduled school visits.
