Support Chad’s Ministry of Finance and budget in the compilation of a Citizen Budget (CB): Embassy N’Djamena proposes to help the GOC develop a citizen budget. Through the Ministry of Finance and Budget the GOC started the process to strengthen its budget transparency. The 2013 FTIF grant successfully helped set up a website for the Ministry of Finance and Budget, and the 2014 grant helped the implementation of the EITI action plan, therefore the current grant which is aimed at facilitating the compilation of a citizen budget builds on the work done and promise great benefit in helping the GOC meet the core requirements of fiscal transparency, which include completeness, reliability, and public availability of budgetary information, as well as transparency of natural resource extraction licensing and tendering procedures.
