Support for National Environmental Monitoring Conference: The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is offering financial assistance to a technically qualified, eligible organization (i.e., nonprofit and universities) interested in sponsoring the National Environmental Monitoring Conference (NEMC). The National Environmental Monitoring Conference (NEMC) encompasses all environmental media (e.g., water, air, solid waste, pesticides) and all of the Environmental Protection Agencies (EPAs) monitoring programs with the exception of criteria pollutants in air (e.g., hazardous waste, wastewater, drinking water, source emissions, Superfund, pesticides). Initially known as the Waste Testing and Quality Assurance Symposium (WTQA) before the name was changed to NEMC, for 21 years, the conferences growth and diversity have made this the premier conference for the entire environmental community.
