Support of Tribal participation in the Tribal Caucus, National Tribal Operations Committee of the US Environmental Protection Agency: The purpose of this cooperative agreement is to provide funding to a federally recognized tribal government or intertribal consortia to provide to support through their tribal environmental department to Tribes participating in the Tribal Caucus of the Tribal Operations Committee. The tribe?s or intertribal consortium?s participation will enhance their community or organization?s capacity for environmental management through: Increased understanding and familiarity with environmental policy-making; Exposure to wider range of environmental issues and solutions; Contact with a wide spectrum of tribal leaders and governments actively engaged in environmental policy development and management; Increased understanding of EPA?s structure, programs and priorities; and Contact with a wide spectrum of EPA officials.
