Grant Description: Secretarys Forecast Summary CDC-RFA-PS08-824 CDCs Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, "Support to Provide Technical Assistance to Provide High-Quality Pre-Service Education for Health Workers and to Strengthen the Government of Botswanas Health Workforce Wellness Program under the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief." Approximately $800,000 will be available in fiscal year 2008 to fund one award. The purpose of the program is to: (1) strengthen the Government of Botswanas (GOB) ability, through its health training institutes, to provide state of the art, high quality pre-service education for health workers to support the effective implementation of HIV prevention, treatment and care services, and (2) strengthen the GOB health workforce wellness program.
