Supporting Shivwits Band of Paiutes involvement in Southern Rockies Landscape Conservation Cooperative: A) Provide Shivwits Band of Paiutes Land Resources (Land Resources) with capacity assistance to support travel and participation costs associated with meetings and other technical assistance which will allow Land Resources personnel to participate in mutually agreed upon SRLCC activities. Subsequently, the SRLCC partnership can better leverage and collaborate on development of landscape-scaled projects and supporting or foundational information that will meet the needs of all stakeholders and landowners (e.g. land and water management agencies, tribes and public) and will minimize redundancy and conflict in resource conservation strategies. B. Cooperatively, the Service and Land Resources staff will conduct a workshop to identify the Tribes priority resources and science needs. Documentation of the Tribes science needs will assist the SRLCC in its efforts to integrate Tribal interests into the planning, research and implementation of landscape-level conservation goals. This Single Source Award is being made in accordance with Department of the Interior Policy 505 DM 2.14 B (1) Unique Qualifications - The applicant is uniquely qualified to perform the activity based upon a variety of demonstrable factors such as location, property ownership, voluntary support capacity, cost-sharing ability, if applicable, technical expertise, or other such unique qualifications., which allows for award without competition to an applicant.
